I used to be one of those people who said, “Even though the super delegates have pledged themselves to Hillary Clinton, that also happened in 2008. When Obama showed he was going to win and was a better candidate, the super delegates switched their vote to Barack. The same thing can happen with Bernie Sanders.”

Now I’m not so sure. As CounterPunch first reported, and Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks explains below, the Clinton cabal bought the super delegates lock, stock and barrel back in August 2015, before a single primary vote had been cast.

Using legal methods made possible by the Citizens United Supreme Court ruling, and a lesser known SCOTUS ruling from 2014 called McCutcheon v. FEC, Clinton’s billionaire backers are able to legally skirt campaign finance rules and funnel money to Clinton through state Democratic Party coffers. This effectively funds Clinton and helps her purchase Democratic super delegate loyalty at the same time.

Margot Kidder, reporting for Counterpunch writes:

In August 2015, at the Democratic Party convention in Minneapolis, 33 democratic state parties made deals with the Hillary Clinton campaign and a joint fundraising entity called The Hillary Victory Fund. The deal allowed many of her core billionaire and inner circle individual donors to run the maximum amounts of money allowed through those state parties to the Hillary Victory Fund in New York and the DNC in Washington.

The idea was to increase how much one could personally donate to Hillary by taking advantage of the Supreme Court ruling 2014, McCutcheon v FEC, that knocked down a cap on aggregate limits as to how much a donor could give to a federal campaign in a year. It thus eliminated the ceiling on amounts spent by a single donor to a presidential candidate.

In other words, a single donor, by giving 10,000 dollars a year to each signatory state could legally give an extra $330,000 a year for two years to the Hillary Victory Fund. For each donor, this raised their individual legal cap on the Presidential campaign to $660,000 if given in both 2015 and 2016. And to one million, three hundred and 20 thousand dollars ($1,320,000) if an equal amount were also donated in their spouse’s name.

From these large amounts of money being transferred from state coffers to the Hillary Victory Fund in Washington, the Clinton campaign got the first $2,700, the DNC was to get the next $33,400, and the remainder was to be split among the 33 signatory states. With this scheme, the Hillary Victory Fund raised over $26 million for the Clinton Campaign by the end of 2015.

But additionally, the fund is administered by Elizabeth Jones, the Clinton Campaign’s Chief Operating Officer. She has the “exclusive right” to decide when and to whom transfers from the Hillary Victory Fund are made through the state parties.

That means if a super delegate decides to change his or her mind and back Bernie Sanders, the Clinton Campaign can withhold money from that candidate, or from the ENTIRE STATE.

Hillary Clinton GotchaSo if there was ever any question that the DNC had already picked their candidate, that has been answered. The Clintons have purchased their loyalty.

And if there was any question that the super delegates might switch their votes to Bernie Sanders once he garners enough primary victories to seriously contend for the nomination, that’s pretty much been answered as well. No loyal Democrat is going to give up that money and go against their party in favor of an independent even if the will of the people warrants it.

Damn the people. What do they know anyway, right?

This is called money laundering. And it’s totally legal. This is called bribery. Andit’s totally legal. This is how Hillary and Bill Clinton purchase the Democratic nomination, and a bunch of fat cat billionaires purchase influence.

This isn’t a conspiracy theory. This is real, and it’s out in the open, and it’s perfectly legal.

This is the American oligarchy. The United States is a nation founded by the rich for the rich. The rest of us are laborers and consumers. That’s it.

But we CAN’T. GIVE. UP.

We have to push, prod and pull all the way to theDemocratic Party Convention in July and beyond. A POLITICAL REVOLUTION HAS TO SUCCEED, with or without the Democratic Party.

And if the Democratic Party has to die to make that happen, then so be it.
