Today my wife, Akanke, asked me how I feel about turning 50. I must say, I feel fantastic! I am blessed, and I am grateful. I’m living the dream. Now granted, the dream has changed three or four times, and it is constantly evolving, but my world is so beautiful. I’m not a rich man, but I have wealth beyond measure. My queen, Akanke, is generous and loving, patient and kind. She kicks me in the pants when I need it. She makes me want to do better and be better, and I am better because she is in my life.Maya and Miles are my heart. I am so fortunate to know these two incredible souls. They bring me so much joy.I am surrounded by love and laughter and music. I have wonderful family, and the most amazing and diverse group of friends. Thanks to you all for being a part of my life. For the past 20 years or so, my guiding principle has been a quote from The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran. “Your daily life is your temple and your religion. Whenever you enter into it, take with you your all.” My goal every day moving forward is to give, and to give my all. And I am thankful for each and every new day and each new possibility. All praise be to THE ONE. I love you.Nadir
